A bigger flood in Paris

Flood
Difficult to join the moored barges! Left bank - The Louvre on the right bank

Do you remember the 2013 post about a small flood in Paris? In the meantime, we had a bigger flood in June 2016. These days, in January 2018, a new flood is going to become a big one, like in 2016. The highest level for this flood is planned for Friday 26th.

See this salamber who seems to find refuge at the top of this post. In 2016, the water touched its fingers.

Some pictures of the flood (23/01/2018):

Isolated tree - The Louvre in the back

Little garden at the western tip of the Island ("Ile de la Cité")

Ducks enjoying a strong current - In the back the "Musée d'Orsay" - Léopold Sédar Senghor footbridge

The Bar-Restaurant is closed ! Louvre in the back.
